Ian Locke
Summary
I am fortunate enought to have been able to be a significant part of the Australian Apple Computer community. In that time I have successfully supported and marketed many new areas of hardware and software development. I have been called upon to sell and manage the sales cycle of some of the most exciting products and to use my presentation skills to endorse technology where I believe it is appropiate.
When Bruce and I first started in computers it was with a company called Keyway where I was required to tech support FoxBase, but which soon included many business productivity packages. Most notable of which was CE Software's QuickMail which even now is the most widely used mail package by the Macintosh community. We also marketed, sold and supported products like SoftPC from Insignia, hardware from Daystar, Orange Micro.
Bruce left Keyway and formed the Macintosh division of Allaw Technologies. He invited me to join and together we made a very formidable team. Here we distributed Radius, Quantum, GCC and RAM along with many other products and grew a very large and successful distribution division with branches around the country.
Unfortunately, the divison was not successful enough to solve all the difficulties of the company and Allaw Technologies came to a close. So in it's place Bruce and I formed a brilliant but undercapitalised company called Axon Tech (win a prize, what is an axon).
