on the eWorld Offworld Tour '96

When I first stepped into TownSquare in Jan.96 I was excited, I just looked and didnt dare to get in. And I realized my English to be not polished enough to get all of the jokes, sophisticated sayings etc. But I enjoyed it very much just to sit there and when I sometimes could follow.

I enjoyed the fact, that the eCommunity ofcourse was on quite another level than some places I visited before. Two of my first talks on eWorld have been with Wjover and Gopus. I got really excited when I learned they live in Alaska, where I plan to go for some adventurous holydays someday.

It is so fascinating to talk to people from far away, you would otherwise never meet. So I really got addicted to that kind of conversation - despite the fact I am one of the seniors (I will be grandpa one of these days). At least every friday evening I logged in, and after I met with friends in a nearby restaurant as we always do on fridays.

When I stepped in they always helloed me:

" Have you been on the net again?

How are your worldwide friends doing?"

Yeah, to be online is a real strange thing so far over here, but times are changing. Now I hope to get into TalkCity soon and meet some of you again.

With JimCCCs help I will outsmart the system errors and "hostwasnotrecognized"-windows. So take care and keep the efriendship going :-))
